Our Story

Little Pond Gardens was founded in 2018. We had an abandoned field at our place in Moncure, NC and I started walking up there.

Back in 2010, the land was home to an asparagus farm built by my parents and Edible Earthscapes. With a well and a sturdy fence, it felt like the perfect place to start growing food.

Our neighbors at Sparkroot Farm helped build the beds and taught me a lot about regenerative agriculture.

In 2020, during the pandemic, we built an outdoor kitchen. We were demolishing an old farmhouse, and we managed to salvage a lot of materials as we built our home base.

Friends started coming through and together, we’ve built a beautiful community garden.

In the summer of 2024, we opened a new location at The Plant in Pittsboro. Complete with a new berry patch and a stage for live music. Come check out the project!
